How Brands Work With Mr Call

Mr Call Designs grades retail sofas across three absolute parameters: Build, Design, and Comfort. Every piece is evaluated using a straight mathematical average and benchmarked relatively against the best engineering available inside its specific price tier. Scores are set before a brand is contacted. No brand can pay to change a result.

There are three ways to work with Mr Call. The same rule applies to all three.

I · License the Mark

Any sofa that earns a straight average score of ninety or above is awarded Mr Call Approved™. The mark is licensed annually for use on product pages, packaging, retail signage, and marketing collateral. The score is earned before the mark is offered. The license recognizes a result; it does not purchase one.

Annual Fee · Renewed Per Review · 90+ Average Required

II · Pre-Market Advisory

Brands can commission Mr Call to apply the core scorecard parameters to a sofa that has not shipped yet — a development prototype, a pre-production sample, or an initial specification sheet. The brand receives a verdict and the concrete structural, aesthetic, and ergonomic reasoning behind it, so the team can decide what to execute or adapt before launch. The engagement is private.

If the shipped product later earns the mark on its own, it publishes as an approval. If it does not, no review is published, and the engagement ends privately. The fee pays for the work, not for the mark.

$15,000 – $25,000 Per Engagement · Private · The Fee Pays for the Work, Not the Mark

III · Submit a Product for Review

Brands can submit a sofa for consideration at no cost. Mr Call selects which submissions to review based on category coverage and editorial priority. A submission is not a guarantee of review. If a submitted sofa is reviewed, it is scored on the identical terms as any standard retail purchase.

Free · No Guarantee of Review · Three Core Parameters Apply

IV · What Mr Call Does Not Do

No sponsored reviews. A public approval cannot be bought at any price.

No paid rankings, preferred-retailer tiers, or title placements inside editorial or video content.

No equity in brands under review. Mr Call does not hold stock, options, or advisory shares in any reviewed company.

No adjustment of scores for commercial reasons. The core metrics are applied identically every time. A brand’s licensing history, advertising spend, or corporate relationship never shifts a result.

No LTK, ShopMy, or intermediary affiliate platforms. Direct retailer affiliate relationships only.

V · Begin

Brands can start any of the three paths above by writing directly. Include the product silhouette, the configuration, the target launch or review date, and a short construction summary if one exists.
