Mr Call Designs grades retail sofas against The Call Standard. Every piece is scored against the same ten-category rubric, benchmarked to the maximum engineering possible at the sofa's price. Scores are set before a brand is contacted. No brand can pay to change a result.
Brands that want to work with Mr Call have three legitimate paths. Each is named below, priced transparently, and governed by the same rule: the mark is earned through construction, not purchased through partnership. A product that does not clear the rubric does not receive the mark, and no payment changes that.
The Three Channels
Any product scoring 90 or above under The Call Standard earns MR CALL APPROVED. The mark is licensed annually for use on product pages, packaging, retail signage, and marketing collateral. Brands that have earned the mark may display it for a licensing fee paid to Reis Daniel LLC. The score and the mark are earned first; the license follows.
Brands may commission Mr Call to apply The Call Standard to an unreleased product — a development prototype, a pre-production sample, or a specification sheet — before it ships. The engagement returns a verdict and construction reasoning. The brand uses the feedback during development. If the shipped product later earns the mark, it publishes as an approval. If it does not, no review publishes and the engagement ends privately.
Brands may submit a product for consideration at no cost. Mr Call selects which submissions to score based on category coverage and editorial priority. A submitted product is not guaranteed a review. If scored, the product is evaluated with the same rigor as any retail purchase. No fee is paid either direction.
What Mr Call Does Not Do
These prohibitions are the reason the mark is worth what it is. The list is exhaustive and public.
No sponsored reviews. A review cannot be purchased at any price.
No paid rankings, preferred-retailer tiers, or title placements within editorial or video content.
No equity positions in brands under review. Mr Call does not hold stock, options, or advisory shares in any reviewed company.
No testing fees. A brand cannot pay to have a product scored.
No adjustment of scores for commercial consideration. The rubric is applied consistently. A brand's licensing history, advertising spend, or relationship does not influence a result.
No LTK, ShopMy, or intermediary affiliate platforms. Direct retailer affiliate relationships only.
Brands can start any of the three paths above by writing directly. Include the product, the configuration, the target launch or review date, and a brief construction summary if available.
